The Watcher, by Muhjahid Qahhar

The mark of a person is in how they conduct themselves when no one is watching. That, without question, is a profound truth, and knowledge is power. The more a person exposes to you, the more vulnerable they become to you. Imagine how well you could manipulate a person if you stashed hidden cameras in their private places.

While you ponder that, consider this. Our government has cameras everywhere, including the rural areas. I have, as of recently, taken notice of ...

Fatal Ignorance, by Muhjahid Qahhar

While in prison, I was awakened one morning by an eerie cry outside of my window, unlike anything I had ever heard. I couldn't identify the creature by the sound but the emotion was clear, something was in extreme pain. I jumped up and looked out the window. A seagull was trapped in the razor wire that ran along the top of the interior fence. It was flapping its wings frantically trying to break free but the slinky style design of the deadly wire would not release it....

Warnings, by Muhjahid Qahhar

Warnings come to us in many ways, often-times disguised as something non consequential. As a child I could run straight through a spider's web and think nothing of it. I would feel the web on my face, brush it off and keep it pushing. As an adult, if I feel a web on my face, I immediately search for a spider crawling on me. With knowledge and experience I've learned that where there is a web there is generally a spider.

At All Costs, by Muhjahid Qahhar

Capitalism, the way it functions in American society, is as such: make money and become successful at all costs. And you can never make enough money. It is closely related to an objective way of thinking. Not objectivity in its traditional definition, but a malicious form of objectivity.

When they set out to build a railroad across the country, all they saw were dollar signs. All else was reduced to an object, like a br...

Winged Creatures, by Muhjahid Qahhar

A bird has no fear in stepping out on a limb because all of its trust is placed in its wings. Therefore, when it is time, they shove their offspring out of the nest. It is up to the chick to spread its wings and live, or spiral to the ground and possibly die. This may seem a cruel process but it is life. Our feathered friends understand that in order to survive, they must have complete confidence in themselves, and once you achieve that you can soar to new heights. So, know who and what you are... When Black and White Collides, by Muhjahid Qahhar

This is what I was reminded of during the Trayvon Martin trial:

I am still amazed when black people say things like, I don't see color. I think to myself, we are the only people left with this dinosaur way of thinking. See, when worlds collide and a situation comes down to black versus white, white people are going to be alright...every single time. Let's reflect over this trial and take notes.

Rambling by Muhjahid Qahhar

Obstacles are necessary in life. The person who breezes through life with no hiccups, no bumps or bruises are, to me, untested creatures. Anything that has not been tested, cannot be trusted, in my opinion. Victory, for many of us, comes only after countless struggles and many defeats. That goes for any part of life. Struggle builds character. Problems, all problems if faced head on, are opportunities. These were some of the things that ran rampant through my mind the evening of yesterday...as... The Next Woman by Muhjahid Qahhar

When a relationship ends, whether boyfriend and girlfriend or a marriage, the next woman comes under extreme scrutiny by the ex. The first thing to be examined and criticized is her looks. I've heard it all:

Then he had the nerve to find some ball headed bi#ch!

I know he didn"t get with a white girl!

Oh my God. ...

Excerpt Of The Day by Muhjahid Qahhar

From NO INSTRUCTIONS

I had never noticed before how attractive he was; strange how my love for Tyrone and the power of his presence blinded me to all that was around us. Jamil stood about 5’9” with a very muscular build, smooth, brown skin, and short, wavy hair groomed in a temp-fade. His gravel blue eyes were enough to weaken any woman. On top of all that, he had a modest, mannered pe...
