Being forced to use the bathroom (#1&2), in a cell full of strangers, in front of a large window that allowed secretaries and officers a clear view of me, was one of my most humbling experiences. A man feels lower than dirt.

Years came and went. Without notice I had evolved, or devolved I should say, to using the bathroom anywhere, in front of anyone, with little to no discomfort. A man's shame was stolen and it can never be replaced. AT WHAT POINT DOES PUNISHMENT BECOME A CRIME?

While in prison I was often told, "Man you think the way you do because you've been locked up too long."

I've been out for some time now and I must say, maybe many of these people have been free for too long. Reality seems a thing of the past...
